USB MP3 player - control from the PC?

Just curious if any of the USB MP3 players out there allow control from the
computer.

In other words...

- Plug USB cable into PC
- Plug amp into headphone jack
- Upload musing into MP3 player
- PC tells MP3 player to start playing, change volume, etc... So no CPU
power is used to play the music

Not that I've seen. But today's systems have processor power apleny to
burn. Even a pentium 1 can keep up with playing an MP3 with room
leftover. It seems a lot of extra work for something your computer can
already do natively.
