Hi, I have a laptop running Win2K pro, fresh load. And
there are no Ps/2 ports and I am trying to use a PS/2 to
USB Belkin Converter into a single USB port. The keys do
not work on the keyboard and the mouse pointer moves by
itself to the bottom of the screen and I have to unplug
the converter so that I can use the keyboard and mouse on
the laptop. I want to use external k/b and mouse,, I
updated the BIOS and reinstalled Svc pack4.. any
suggestions?

I suggest using a real "USB" Keyboard and mouse. A PS/2 - USB adapter
does not automatically make a PS/2 device USB compatible signal wise.
