USB Mouse Dies

My USB mouse was working fine until about a week ago. Now it dies while surfing the net and the message "Unknown USB Device" pops up. When I unplug/plug in again it works for a few miuntes and then dies again. Any fixes????
 
Try updating the drivers for the mouse

If that doesnt work, go to Hardware Device Manager and uninstall the mouse completely. Restart your computer, when you get the message that Windows has found new hardware, and if you have the disk with the drivers on it, make sure you choose have disk and install the drivers from your disk

If that doesnt work, could be an issue with the USB controllers. Try doing the same as above
