USB/MIR adapter for Asus P5A-B

How easy are these to get? I can get 3rd party USB ports with plugs that
will fit, but can't keep the PS/2 mouse port unless I butcher the
original plug, which occupies all 18 pins on the header.

I've bought 'em via the Asus distributor in the past, but they aren't
cheap

Pop the pins out and transfer them to the mouse plug. All you need is a
pin to bend the plastic locking tabs slightly out of the way while pulling
gently on the wire.
