usb keyboard

Hi All
Bought a Wireless-Mini usb keyboard but cannot get it to work on my K8NF4G motherboard. When I plug in the usb 'keysonic'' I get 'usb device is not reconised or not working'.
Does this mean that my MB does not not support usb keyboards or the keyboard is DOA?

Check the owners manual.
You may have to install drivers before you boot up using the new keyboard.

Do some BIOS have USB keyboard support? if so, you may have to enable it, using a PS2 keyboard
