USB keyboard making me madddddd

My Saitek USB HID keyboard (which needs no special software from the
manufacturer) for the last few months, I have not been able to play my
second life game because of my keyboard actions. The qwerty side of the
keyboar, everything works fine.. On the ten key side and the arrow keys, is
where the problems are. The Enter key on the ten key side, when clicked,
types this: fjka And when I click on the left arrow key, it opens up
notepad or types this bn, the up arrow types this: gh

I'm soo confused.. I have cleaned my keyboard, tried changing usb drivers,
uninstall tons of things, reinstalled, ran virus and spyware programs, tried
rootkit checks, ....etc. etc. etc.

The reason it affects my Second Life game is because you need the arrow keys
for movement of your avatar. the up arrow is the move forward button, and
the left arrow is to turn left. any clues for the clueless bird? hehe

Replace the mechanically failing keyboard.

If it requires no drivers, have you checked the properties to
see what drivers are installed for it ? Any chance a Windows Update
might have dumped an inappropriate driver into the mix ? Or,
that some game you installed, has something for binding commands
to keys, that is running right now ?

Are any modifier keys jammed ? Is there a "lock" key of
some sort involved ?

What is the exact model of keyboard ? Got a web page
with a picture ?

A brand new KB can be had for well under $10 at Walmart.

lol I spent 60 bucks for this keyboard because of its cool shape and backlit key pads.. If I have to .. I guess I have to :(

For whatever it's worth, I had the same model (blue LED) and it lasted
exactly four weeks.

It is currently $35.

In the review section of that Newegg page, they describe several
different fault modes. In one case, key presses weren't always
being registered. Another user described the keyboard just
producing garbage. There are 1500 reviews there, so plenty
of reading material. So far, I haven't seen a review with exactly
your symptoms.

One question for you - do the symptoms change when the keyboard
backlight is turned off ? Maybe their backlight scheme produces
electrical interference.

Maybe the keyboard is physically at fault? Try it out on a friend's PC or
try it at work (if they'll let you) and see if you have the same problems.
Of course, they probably won't let you install Second Life :)

Similar results on my Microsoft keyboard.
I have just moved house, and I remember spilling
a cup of coffee some of which went on the keyboard.
I cleaned the keyboard and packed it.

In my new residence 7 days later I stated typing and M resulted in Mb
I was puzzled for some time before
I remembered the coffee.

I reckon you mucked it up when cleaning.
