USB keyboard and mouse not recognized on INTEL DG45ID board

To group:
I am trying to make a simple image image for Intel's DG45ID
motherboard.
The image boots of a NTFS formated sata disk but the mouse and
keyboard
are not functional. I have tried pluging and un-plugging the mouse
but
this didnt help. I built this image bye using TAP.exe on the
motherboard
where I had XP service pack 2 with all the drivers for the board
installed.
That is there were no yellow questions marks in the device manager.
However the FBALOG.txt shows the following errors related to the ICH10
USB controller:

Hi

Error: 0xe0000217 is related to missing driver file.
Did you install or componentize driver for ICH10 chipset?
If yes check driver resources are copied properly and driver installed
correctly.

Do you have the HID Keyboard Device and HID-compliant mouse components or
equivalent in the image?

Have you tried removing the ICH10 driver?
