Does anyone know how to stop Windows XP from assigning a
drive letter already in use (mapped network drive)to a USB
key drive? For instance, I have physical drives C:, D:,
E:, and mapped network drives F:, G:, H: . When I plug in
a USB key drive Windows assigns it F: drive letter and
then conflicts with my mapped network drive.
I know how to change drive leters via disk managemen, but
don't want to do this for hundreds of copmuters or USB
keys. I looking for something that will tell Windwos what
is the next available drive letter, i.e. Z:.
