USB flash drives don''t appear in Explorer

Was working just fine until a crash, had to Ghost back to an earlier
date. Biostar M7NCG-400, nvidia chipset. Has XP SP2, nvidia drivers, and
latest updates. Here's what I see now...

While in device manager, I see that the IDE hard drive
(WD1600JB-00GVA0), and IDE dvd-rom drive (Toshiba SD-M1912) have been
detected as SCSI drives. I wonder if this could be connected with the
flash drive problem. USB installed ok per device manager, and identifies
the flash drive correctly (Mass Storage Device, Ut161 USB2 Flash Storage).

When I plug in the flash drive, it _is_ shown in the Taskbar, but just
doesn't show up in Explorer, so the files are not accessible.

Any suggestions appreciated.

As for the hard drives, I would try downloading the latest motherboard
drivers from the manufacturer's site and install them.

Eric,
Thanks for your response. I'll give it a try.

The drivers are the same ones that were in use last week before the
crash. USB flash drive was previously showing in Explorer. I just can't
figure why Ghost restore didn't come up with the same operational
condition as before. Must not have been a perfect backup, or...?

Larry
