USB Drivers not installing

Need some help here if possible. My USB ports are not working and I am not
sure exazctly why. Windows finds the USB hardware attempts to install the
driver and give me a message to the effect of "Driver failed to install. The
data is invalid." I may be able to fix this if I still had my Wondows 2000
Pro Disk but for the life of me I cannot find it. I have tried reloading all
the drivers for my Motherboard, MSI MS-6380, and still the same problem
occurs when I remove the device and then Add Hardware and let Windows try to
load the driver again. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may be able
to solve this problem without the disk, if so I would be in your debt?

The ports themselves on the motherboard may have failed. The cheapest and
quickest solution here is to purchase a PCI USB card and install that, and
use it instead of the onboard ports.
