USB Driver Error GRRRR

E

Eve

None of my USBs work. They know if something is plugged in but the device
will not work and Vista says it needs to load the USB 2.0 Drivers. The
devices are plug and play, no drivrs needed AND they are comatable with
Vista. My new vista compatable microphone, my NEW Vista compatable mouse...ect
I'm using a clean instal of Vista Ultimate. This is a brand new home built
computer. I've RMAed the motherboard thinking that was it but it isn't.
Also, Vista will not allow me to use 4G RAM. I have 4 sticks of 1 G
memeory(and yes, they are all working) but I cannot plug in the 4th stick or
I get a blue screen saying that hardware is failing. It's not the hardware.
They all work.
As much as I spent on this computer. AND VISTA, you'd think that it'd work.
PLEASE help!
Thanks!

Have you installed the motherboard chip set drivers from the motherboard CD
or Web site?

Look for an updated BIOS for your motherboard at the website of the
motherboard manufacturer for assistance with the BIOS problem.

As for the USB drivers, exactly what hardware are you connecting with the
USB ports.

Eve, go into Device Manager. Look at the USB controllors down the bottom of
the list. They will have a yellow ? mark against them.

Right-ckick on them >properties> and install the USB 2.0 controllors from
the Net
Then all your USBs will work.
At the present time, your USB controllors are USB 1.0s

XP was the same!
