USB Device not recognised.

this might be a Windows XP problem so I'm posting here as well as the uk
laptop group (different news servers hence the lack of cross-posting!)
Toshiba Tecra 9000 running Windows XP SP2 connected to Toshiba Docking
Station. PS2 mouse is the only peripheral connected to the docking station.
XP keeps coming up with an error message of "USB Device not recognised. One
of the USB devices connected to this computer is not recognised". I HAVEN'T
GOT ANY USB DEVICES!

Can any one suggest a remedy for this?

Not familiar with the Toshiba docking station. How does it allow the laptop
to dock with it? Does it have a special type of connection / connector??
Does it use a USB cable?

There's a connecting slot on the underside of the machine with a male
connector on the docking station - anyway, it seems to have resolved itself.
It seems that the machine was not /QUITE/ pushed down hard enough on the
connector....
thanks for responding, anyway.
