Usb Device and blue screen

Jeff

I have an infrared device that I use with a heart rare monitor. I plug it
into my laptop (Vista home premium) and it says installing drivers etc. I
d/l data to pc and close program and unplug device and get a blue screen
with no solutions. I don't have the safely remove hardware icon etc.
I now have to disable it in device mgr before unplugging.

I enclosed a copy from the problem and solutions log below...

Any Ideas?

Does Vista install the drivers every time you plug it in? If yes,
I would open the Device Manager and find out what drivers Vista is
installing, and what Vista thinks the device actually is. Do you
see any devices marked with the dreaded exclamation mark?

Only the first time. I plugged it into a different port and it installed
there too. It knows it's a polar usb interface and says installing drivers
etc. Then installed successfully.
