USB - Code 28

Hello,

I reinstalled Win2000 after cleaning up/formatting my
drive.

All is well under the Windows sky except for one little
thing. For some reason (even after getting Service Pack 4)
Windows does not recognize the USB token I have: it
highlights it in yellow and puts a nice little yellow
exclamation mark on it. It used to recognize it though,
that is, after I first installed it.

Again, I installed SP4 and I also looked for the USB token
driver on my Windows 2000 installation disk.

What should I do? What should I do? What should I do?

Thanks,
A.

More than likely there were OEM or vendor supplied USB drivers installed on
the machine prior to the format. If this is a brand name machine (Compaq,
Dell, Gateway) look for the CD that shipped with the machine. There will be
USB drivers on it that you should try to install.
If the machine is a 'white box' or clone machine, then the CD with the USB
drivers will have came in the same box as the motherboard did. If you did
not get one, then you should contact the store that sold you the motherboard
and have them supply the disc for you.
