Question: are there any good guides out there that can show me how to create
a bootable flash drive on Windows XP? I spent 2 hrs searching and couldn't
come up with anything.

Thanks,

Unfortunately, I have ran into that site, but it doesn't give me any
confidence as to whether it will work. I was hoping to find a step-by-step
simple guide with no 'black magic' on it.

Got it on the first Google... 2nd in the list [hint]:

You may want to try the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool.

If the instructions on that site are "black magic" to you, then you're
in deeeeeeep trubble, m'friend.

Maybe you'd better stop thinking about this project.

Well, I have tried to get it to work on Linux before, but it simply doesn't
work. Also, that link has very vague steps on how to go about it, nothing
concrete, nothing proven to work, and I'm not stupid enough to waste hours
trying to resolve an issue that is unresolvable.

Thank You, but my goal is to have a SUSE image on the flash that I can then
boot my laptop with. The reason for this, is that I have installed Windows XP
Home edition on it, but it keeps rebooting on me; so I'm trying it on SUSE to
see if it's an OS or hardware problem. And my cdrom only works with
proprietary software that comes from the manufacturers install. But, all
seems to indicate that it's a hard drive issue, so I think I can just leave
it at that.
