USB ASL Modem Problem

Hi,
I just upgraded my system ( MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum, Athlon 64 3500 +...). My
Gnet BB0039 USB Adsl modem loaded fine, but after I restarted the computer
would not connect to the modem. I'm sure it is installed and set up
correctly, and I know it works fine because I've tried it on another
computer. Also, when I try to unistall the modem software, the process
freezes, and sometimes gives a message saying the the Remote Procedure call
has failed. I've checked for viruses with AVG and found none. What can I do
next?
