USB 2 IDE Dongle

This thing looks great, but also like it probly doesn't work. Has anyone
tried one? If so, is the thing fast/reliable, and how does it deal with
getting power to the drive?

Just picked one up from ebuyer for about 25 quid about 2 weeks back. It
seems to run ok, but where the Ide device connects to the dongle is just
a little loose. You do need a flat surface for it to be stable (ie. not
suddenly become disconnected), plus the USB cable is very short, you may
want to get hold of a USB extension lead.

Have only been able to try it using USB 2 with an old 2Gb Hard drive,
but it transfered 150Mb of data in about 25 seconds which wasn't too bad
considering my old external USB 1.1 kit would take nearly 20 minutes for
1 GB and this with a new (at the time) 30Gb HD.
