IDE to SATA Dongle Bridge working? Did I do it right?

Please go easy on me. I'm pretty good at computers, but not a pro by
any means. I know more than enough to get by.

Anyways...I've bought this IDE to SATA dongle off ebay. Click

here to see the exact auction. Note the parts it came with. It
came with:

IDE to SATA Converter x 1
Serial ATA Cable x 1
4PIN Power Cable x 1

I've hooked it up to my ATA hard drive. Seen
here.
I didn't use my 4pin power cable because I had one available on my PC
as you can see in the picture above. The card LED lights up like it's
getting power in two locations (green) and the HDD does spin on boot.
I've checked my setup bios and ensured that my new SATA port was on.
My main SATA HDD (that came with my PC) is on port 0. Port 1 (that my
ATA HDD is on) was turned off. I turned it on. Oh, I've marked my
ATA drive as "slave" with the jumpers since I just want it
to be a storage drive. Is that right?

That's about as far as I've gotten. Nothing shows in the device
manager except my SATA drive that came with my PC. I really wanna get
this to work. Please be gentle. :) Thanks so much in advance to
anyone that can help and PLEASE if you need any more info, ask.
