usb 2.0 external hard drive and norton ghost 2003

Hi,

I have a K7-825LMU V:5.2 motherboard (AMIBIOS 2001
RELEASE 2/12/2003) that will not see my external USB hard
drive after it reboots. My desktop PC is an AMD 1.4 GHZ
Athlon processor with over 350 MB of RAM. It sees it fine
once inside Windows XP but when I reboot my Norton Ghost
software is not able to detect my 2.0 USB external hard
drive. I have tried the Norton Ghost 2003 program on a
Compaq laptop running Windows XP and the program works
fine.

Provided you have USB 2.0, you'll need to tell Norton Ghost to load the USB
2.0 drivers, otherwise it just defaults to the USB 1.1 drivers.

Although Norton 2003 claims USB compatibility, it would not work
on my setup. However, an update released several months ago
fixed that issue. Getting the latest update may help you.
