USB 2.0 card

I am running XP SP2 on Pentium 4 2.8GHz with Titan GA. I tried installing a
new 5-port USB 2.00 PCI card but the system would not start up. When I
removed it, it was fine. This is probably something obvious but I'd
appreciate any advice.

You could try another PCI slot, but that's about all,
otherwise you'll need to get a different USB card.
 
And if you haven't tried reseating it, perhaps in another slot, I'd do
so. Otherwise, as previous poster suggested, the card is almost
certainly bad
 
Thanks - I tried moving it but same problem so I guess it's bad
