Hi. This is the closest newsgroup I could find.
I have a Buslink USB case with a Lite-On 52327S CD-RW drive in it. It came
with drivers for up to Win 2000, but none for XP. The old driver does not
work. When I try to install the driver I get the following message: ***
has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows
XP. Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabilize
the correct operation of your system either immediately or in the future.
Microsoft strongly recommends that you stop this installation now or contact
the hardware vendor for software that has passed Windows Logo test.
I look at Buslink and Lite-On's web sites and cannot find a driver for XP.
I downloaded something from Microsoft that sounded like it might be the
right thing but after I installed it I still get the same error message. Is
it possible to use a USB 1.1 device with Win XP? Anyone know where I can
get a driver?

BTW the USB CDRW drive works fine on all of my other computers with Win 98,
including laptops. I even got it working on my old AMD 586.
This is just one more thing that XP won't do that older OSes did no problem.
