Usage Reports / Hit Visits

Hello, I'm using Frontpage XP on IIS with the latest
frontpage extensions installed. I am reading the reports
in Frontpage, and notice it is broken out into VISITS,
HITS, and TOTAL HITS. Question is, what is the difference
between a Visit and Hit? ARen't they the same? Any
information shed on this subject would be greatly
appreciated.

A visit is a unique user viewing the page. A hit just means that the page
has been viewed, by anyone or anything (like a search bot). It does not take
into account the same user refreshing the page so you could technically have
1 visit, and 100 hits.

Hope this helps,
