MyNetwork 1.0 is for file-copying between two computers on a network.
It's useful on a wireless network because it includes very good
encryption. It can work on computers that can't communicate with each
other using the normal My Network Neighborhood.

Launch your own spy satellites!!! 80)>

Seriously, the program downloads images from this site:

http://terraserver-usa.com/

Unfortunately, they don't seem to have any imagery for areas outside
of the U.S. at this time. Otherwise, the program would work fine with
European areas.

Ooooooh, yesssssss ... "they" got them. And, did you really think that the

Is there anything similar for UK or Europe?

Not likely. As you may know, there is very little publicly available
GPS/GIS data for the UK and Europe . In the US, any data collected by
government agencies is considered to belong to the public and has to
be made available to the general public unless there is some security
or privacy risk in releasing the data. Government agencies are only
allowed to charge for the cost of reproducing the data since the
taxpayers have already paid the cost of collecting the data.

Well of course I'm fully aware that images *have* been taken of areas
outside of the U.S. What I was saying was that the *site*
(http://terraserver-usa.com) I mentioned doesn't have them, not that
such images don't exist. And believe me, those images that the site
has aren't anywhere NEAR the maximum resolution that have been taken.
Since *THE FREEWARE USAPhotomaps PROGRAM* (for the benefit of Egwig)
gets all its images from http://terraserver-usa.com, the program is
limited to what that site makes available for downloading.

Try TerraServer.[/QUOTE]

Their home page suggests they only cover the US -- is there a European
page that I'm missing?
