Hope someone can point me in the right direction! I have
set my Internet Options Home Page setting to USE:Blank.
Every time IE launches, I see a site that looks like some
sort of a search site. However, the URL Address field is
blank, and the web site does not contain any references to
what it is. If I unplug my ethernet cable, it still does
it, so this content would appear to be coming from the
local machine, not the Internet. I scanned the computer
using NAV 2003 and it found several viruses and adware
threats. I successfully removed them but couldn't find
some of the identified registry keys to remove them. I
also ran two other adware/spyware applications. They each
found threats and supposedly fixed them, but the problem
still persists! Any ideas?
