I have a problem at a client site with the configuration
of the network card on the domain controller.

Will the server be OK if I remove and re-add the network
card on that server from with in the Device Manager? I am
concerned that if I do this, I will cause problems with
Active Directory.

If you're concerned about this (and I would be, too), cheat!

Add an instance of the MS Loopback Adapter before removing the physical
adapter. Bind an IP address to the software adapter and networking will
happily chug along with no physical adapter.

Thanks Matt. That is a great idea.
