Hi Zapp

try clicking on the margins button or maybe better yet use Page Break
preview (under the view menu - choose normal to get out of it), then you can
drag the lines around

All messages here are equally URGENT. Ever hear of the little boy that cried
wolf? Many actually purposely ignore such messages.

consideration cos it was urgent to me as i have to get this thing out

Julie,

I think you're on track, as the OP's missing dashed lines are likely the
margins in Print Preview.

But aren't you talking about two different things here? In Print Preview,
the dashed lines are the margins, which will cause fewer or more rows to be
included on each page. But in Page Break Preview, dragging a dotted line
will move it, also changing it from an automatic page break to a manual
page break in its new place, but only at that row. It will change the count
of rows that print on that page, but the following pages will have the
original count of rows. Since the margins haven't changed, you'd get new
automatic page breaks from there down, at the original margin locations of
the page.

That's my story. But I might not stick to it! :)
