Iexplore.exe remains in the system tray processes even
after the Internet Explorer Window is closed.

Anyone who can help me with this problem would be great!
Thanks!

Kill it from the Windows Task Manager. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and look for
IE under the Applications tab.

I know I can do that, but it's a hassel to do that
everytime i use IE, cause at times I have several
browsers open. Which means that i'll have to constantly
kill the programs manually in order to prevent system
resources from being drained. Is there anyway around
this?

XP has no automatic kill (x) proccess option. I reckon something nasty has
nestled into IE's shutdown sequence and you'll have to weed it out. Have
you cleaned the PC of all spyware using Spybot Search & Destroy, and
Ad-Aware 6?

As a last resort you can always reinstall IE.
