I sent an email this morning from hotmail but it was not
received by the person it was sent to. This is an urgent
email. My computer has been on all day. I have been told
by someone that windows keeps a log of everything I've
typed since my computers been on. I need to get what I
typed because its a very urgent matter.
Does anyone know how to do this.
Any help at all would be life saving, possibly literally.

No, Windows XP does not keep "a log of everything you've
typed since your computer has been turned on". If there is
a record of your typed email message, it would be in one
of the Hotmail folders only. If you can't find it, it probably
was not saved. Look in your Hotmail "Sent Messages",
"Drafts", and "Trash Can" folders.

Calm down and breath before you hurt yourself. There is no log such as
you're looking for. But relax the email will get there, maybe not as
fast as you'd prefer but it will get there. I shouldn't say this but you
do know that even though when it's working email shows up in minutes it
can take several days if things aren't working up to snuff?

You sent an urgent email, and didn't keep a copy?

Sheesh! OK, then I guess your only hope is to find a copy of the web
page you typed it in in your browser cache. That's if you can get the
system to give you access to it.

Malware keyloggers could theoretically do that, but the disk usage
would be a problm sooner or later

I still can't believe you'd not have kept a copy, if it was that
important. Retype from memory? Back button in browser?

Running Windows-based av to kill active malware is like striking
a match to see if what you are standing in is water or petrol.
