!!!URGENT HELP!!!

John Hutchison

I'm not sure if this is the correct newsgroup.

I have had to re-install windows xp pro on one of my home computers, the
problem is i don't have the c.d that was with my wireless pci adapter.

I have the same adapter on another p.c in the house so was wondering if
there was anyway of getting the drivers/software of that.

Please Help.

TIA

Hello John,

The drivers for the wireless adapter may be available from the manufacturers
website. Do you know the make and model of the adapter?

Hi Eric,

I have the box, it says Mentor Wireless PCI Adapter (WLG-PCI/II)

I tried to find it, but had no luck.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

When I searched for the drivers, I got sites about using this hardware
in Linux (in French). You can look on the other computer to see if
there is a folder with the drivers and possibly use those. It won't
hurt.

If you don't have any luck doing that, uninstall the Mentor and go to
the store and buy a common brand (Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, Buffalo)
wireless adapter. It will be around $50USD and you'll have the drivers.

Good find, Haggis. You just didn't click the last link -- there are
drivers for XP, 2K, ME, 98 and a utility program (all assuming that the OP
had a typo in the model number WLG-PCM/II)

well we gotta let the OP do some clicking too :>
