Uprading from Windows XP Home to Professional

Windows XP Home Edition came with my PC. I need to have
the Professional Edition in order to access my work
network. I want to know if I can just purchase the
Windows XP Professional Edition upgrade for $199 or do I
have to purchase the entire Windows XP Professional
Edition for $299?

No, the Upgrade version will be fine.

You can use either the upgrade or full versions (but not the OEM
version).

Buy the Upgrade version, since it's cheaper.
