uploads that wont install

I have been having problems with 3 uploads that keep failing and make my
computer have to repair everytime I have to restart my computer... it takes
about 25 minutes and it will remove other downloads that I have just finished
with. I am using Vista home premium. The ones that seem to be failing are:
security updates.Vista(KB95430, KB95366 and KB 953838. This has been
happening for several weeks now... I am getting so discouraged. Any one
have any ideas?

Have you tried to do them manually one at a time? You can take the KB#
and go to Goggle and do a search where it should show you a link that
will allow you to download and install the update manually.

Also, you can go to to the Windows Update site, look at the list of
updates, find the ones that have failed, right-click one, and view the
explanation of the failure.

When doing the updates, you may want to shutdown the anti-virus software
and other software that is running in the background that could be
interfering with the install of the update.

Yes I tried all of that...... Thank you for your reply. They seem to be stuck
or something.... I do have others that have installed. But when the repair
thing comes on it deletes others that have been downloaded. The ones I
listed above have failed back to August 9. they are all Vista security
updates..... and always the same 3.

Have you downloaded those updates, booted into Safe mode, kept
everything shutdown and tried to apply the updates?

The other thing you can do since no matter what you're doing the updates
are failing causing you to do a repair, then go to the Windows Update
site, view the list, right-click the failed update, and select Hide.

That will stop the update from coming if auto update is set on Vista.

Maybe a subsequent KB for each update will come in another update to
address the issues and will be successful.
