uploading pictures from sony digital cameras

If you're running windows XP, there should be no problem.
Just turn your camera on & plug the usb cable to both the
comp & the camera & XP should recognize it & the file
transfer wizard should appear to copy your pics to your
harddrive. If the wizard doesn't appear, then open up "My
Computer" and see if there is an icon there for your Sony
Memory Stick". If there is, then simply double click it
and find your pics and copy them to the folder of your
choice. I have a Sony digicam & it works fine in XP.
(however for some reason, the wizard has stopped working)

I followed your directions and I got the computer to
recognize that there was a camera connected through the
USB port one time, but since then every time I plug the
camera in there is no wizard (there actually never was)
and the comptuer doesn't even recognize that there is a
camera in the USB port. There is also nothing in My
Computer (there was the one time it did work). Can you
offer any suggestions?

I think the easiest solution may be to
purchase a USB Memory Stick Reader.
