Hi,
I have windows XP home edition CD (retail version). I would like to purchase
and upgrafe to Vista, since it costs less than buying the full version, but I
want to do a clean isntall. Does Vistat upgrade license support the following
scenario(or simmilar)

1) formatting my hard drive
2 Inserting the Vista upgrade CD/DVD
3) the upgrade is asking you to insert the original XP disk, to verify
4) you can continue with the installation.

No the Vista upgrade does not use a shiny media check. The upgrade should
be started from an installation of XP, however as others have posted there
is a work around involving a double install of Vista.
