upgrading to xp home issue

I bought a used puter with windows 2000 server on it, i bought xp home to
upgrade so i can network with my other desktop, i use bellsouth dsl for my
internet connection. I installed xp home and not able to get connected to the
interent, but i switch back to windows server 2000 it works fine, i want to
remove server 2000 o/s but not sure what to do if xp is not able to connect
to the internet?
I know windows server 2000 can not be upgraded with xp, i want to do away
with that all together, but also want to be able to get online.

any suggestions as to what i'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

You need to install a Windows XP driver for
your Network Interface Card which is available
from the support web site of the manufacturer of
your computer or NIC.
