I own a Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop with an english Win2000
Prof.
I'm trying to upgrade to WinXP Prof. Upgrade in spanish.
The system does not let me because of the language
conflict.
I've also tried to format "C" and install a clean copy of
my WinXP Prof., but I can't even enter MS-DOS upon reboot.
What to do?

Why go to the DOS prompt..
You should boot from the Windows XP CD, you'll get the option to
format the harddisk after some time.
And next the clean install witl start.

I get an error message when I run the XP CD because of
the language conflict, and the installation process
cancels itself.

Greetings --

You cannot upgrade from one language version of the OS to another,
so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of Spanish WinXP
Pro to perform a clean installation.
