Upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional from Windows 98

I purchased the Windows 2000 Professional (Upgrade
Edition) over a year ago but still have never loaded it
onto my PC. I'm still running Windows 98. Is it too late
to load the upgrade? Are there any precautions I should
take?
