I installed Windows XP as an upgrade to w. 98 and my
programs did not come through on my desk top and they are
not on my start menu under programs. I found them on the
c: drive under Program files but I do not know how to get
them up and going on XP. I am wondering if I should
reinstall XP or is there a way to get these programs back
like they were with w. 98 and up and running? Does
anyone out there know an answer? Please help!

Thanks, Paul

Try re-installing the Win98 programs while XP is up and running. For
the most part, Win98 programs should work OK. There will be some
conflicts especially with games. Also, have you tried running any of
the older Win98 programs by double clicking the executable file?
Might be a good idea to try in order to see if they'll run OK and
perhaps just a desktop shortcut is missing.

You might also try asking again but mention the names of the programs
you're having difficulty with.
