Upgrading from ME to XP

Hi i am ahving major problems with my computer i tried to upgrade windows to
xp from windows millenium edition, and it keeps coming up with an error msg
and then restarts the computer, then the error msg comes up again and it
keeps goin and goin in a loop it is giving me major hassles, and i cant do
any thing with my computer if any one can help please get back to me
asap!!!!!!

Windows ME and Windows XP are radically different beasts.
While it is possible to upgrade from one to the other, the result
is sometimes less than satisfactory, because of the large number
of compromises involved in the upgrade..

I recommend you do a clean installation of WinXP.
