upgrading from a trial vista to a full vists?

so, i am computer stupid... i have a new computer with a trial version of
vista and a vista home premium upgrade that my ex-husband gave me before we
divorced... i am wondering if there is any way that i can get my full version
on there without loading my old xp and then upgrading to the vista?

I have never head of a new computer coming with a trial version of a windows
operating system. Is it possible that you have a new Vista computer that
came with a trial version of Office 2007, since this is very common with
systems shipping today.

No, there is no supported method of doing what you want to do. As others
have observed, computers are generally not sold by reputable retailers with
a "trial" version of Windows so you may want to take this up with whomever
sold you the computer.
