Upgrading directx problem

Hi

I have Directx 9.0b and when i go to install 9.0c i agree
to the licence agreement before installation and then the
next page says "The components installed are now ready for
use" but my computer still says that i have 9.0b installed.

Can anyone help me?

Why do you need c?

What exactly is NOT working that you need to upgrade to c?
 
bump to this thread, I am facing the same problem atm, even after installing
the
redistributable 33.4mb version
