Upgrading and uninstalling Defender V 1.1

I currently have Windows Defender 1.1.1347.6 installed and I am trying to
upgrade to V2 beta. During the install, the previous version is uninstalled.
The problem I am having is Windows is asking me for the original msi file to
uninstall the old version. It is looking for "WindowsDefender.msi" which I
dont have and dont see a way to download. I've also tried using Add/Remove
programs but get the same problem. How do I uninstall the old version so I
can get the new version?

Still no joy.

I tried Larry's suggestion:

1. Downloaded the setup program to my desktop.
2. Disconnected from the internet.
3. Closed down all the components of my AV software.
4. Switched off Defender's real time protection.
5. Right clicked the Defender icon in the system tray (lower right) and
chose 'exit'.
6. Selected Start ->Run -> and entered "net stop windefend" into the panel
(omitting the quote marks) which I think shuts down some other aspect of
Defender (Dave will maybe tell us just what it does.)
7. Ran the setup program.
8. Reactivated everything, reconnected to the internet, and did a manual
update (it will nag you to do this). Then a quick scan, just to check it was
working OK.

I am still unable to uninstall the old version. It keeps asking me for the
WindowsDefender.msi file that was used to install it originally. I dont have
it and other version I have tried online, dont work either. I have also tried
the MS Installer cleanup utility and it didnt help.

Reboot in Safe Mode, and try this in Start | Run:

MsiExec.exe /I{B2D7CE29-614A-4ACC-8BFE-009EB3A244C9}

to uninstall.
