Upgrading a Business Contact Manager 2003 database to BCM 2007

When my old laptop crashed I managed to salvage the hard disc and extracted
my Outlook BCM 2003 accounts and contacts database, or I think I did. I have
3 files with name "AccountPayers" (the name I gave my custom database in BCM
2003) and suffixes .ldf, .mdf (apparently these are SQL server file types)
and .msbcm (BCM backup file). How do I import the data into BCM 2007? These
file types don't appear to be supported in the "Import" wizard.

All suggestions gratefully accepted.

The .mdf is the actual database. I think the .ldf contains logs, but
not any BCM data.

The .msbcm contains a backup of the BCM database. In v3 backups have
the extension .sbb, but v3 will restore .msbcm files.

The Import feature is unrelated to back and restore.

To restore a database go to menu BCM|Manage Database|Restore
database...

Is there more to this answer? "You need" are the final two words, I'm not
sure what "I need" and I am having the same problem. When I try to restore
the .msbcm file it gives me some issue with not having permission to create
the backup, not that the password I type is wrong but that I didn't have
permission to create the back up. I guess I thought BCM 2007 would be
reverse compatible with BCM 2003.

Thank you in advance
