Upgraded and now HTML email will not display!

I upgraded last week from Outlook XP to Outlook 2007 and now wish I didn't.
All of my emails come in with a thousand links and no images. I've tried and
tried to change every setting possible, coming here and taking every piece of
advice, but nothing seems to change ANYTHING about this version.

I'm extremely unhappy with it and just need to figure out how to get my HTML
emails back.

Also - anyone have any idea why I receive two of every email? I've also
tried looking into that and turning it off, but the multiple emails keep
coming.

Are you looking at mail in the inbox or junk email folder?

Inbox: tools, trust center, email security. Read in plain text option.

I'm looking at ANY folder (including inbox). NOTHING displays HTML emails
correctly.

Also, there is no plain text option in the email security of the trust center.
