Upgrade

I just upgraded from Win 98. The installation seemed to go ok. When it got to
"Do I want to register" I said yes and nothing happened. Finally I shut down.
When I rebooted, it went to Win XP. I have the normal screen with program
icons showing. When I try to load a program, nothing happens. I have a 4 gig
hard drive with 1 gig free. I tried running Control Panel and Add and Remove
Programs. Control Panel comes up but when I try to load Add and Remove
Programs, nothing happens. Nor can I run any other program except simple
things like Recyle Bin. Any suggestions?

You need an Internet connection to register, which is
optional. But you will be required to activate within 30
days.

Part of your problem is that 4 GB is a very small drive for
a working XP system.
