Upgrade

I've got a laptop that I may upgrade from win98se to XP.
So my question is this. My hard drive is very easy to
remove and I'm thinking about putting another hardrive
that I have back into the laptop and experment with the XP
install on this hardrive. So if I installed XP on a
differnet hardrive would that effect any other part of
that laptop it self??? Because if it doesn't work well
I'd like to just put the 1st hardrive back in.

There is no way that any other part of the laptop could be effected. What
your proposing is an excellent way to try XP out on the laptop and make sure
it works well with it without taking the chance of screwing up your 98SE
disk, go for it. Boot from the XP cd with the new disk installed,
partition, format and install.
