I had to reformat my hard drive. I reloaded Windows 98
and purchased the upgrade of XP (Home Addition). Windows
98 loaded with no problem. The Upgrade XP will not load
as it stops with a error message that my hard drive is
corrupt and can not be repaired. It does not tell me how
to fix this error and all file checks run come out ok.
Any suggestions on what to look for? How to fix this so
that I can use my update verision of XP? I am the
original owner of all software.

Boot from the XP CD and do a clean install. You can do this with the
Upgrade, insert the 98 CD when asked.
