upgrade to XP Professional

I currently am using Windows 98 with adaptec cd creator
and I am upgrading my operating system to XP Professional.
Does anyone know if I will have any problems using Adaptec
after the upgrade or do I need to configure anything
special?

Not if the version you are using is compatible with Windows XP.

Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 is not supported by XP.
There are some free burning software out there, do a goggle search.

Given that you said, "By Adaptec," if that was in fact the source of your
version, it is too old and not compatible with XP. For compatibility
purposes, you need version 5 (with the appropriate patches from Roxio,
www.roxio.com) or later with Windows XP.
