: professional.

2 of the systems I use are 233MHz-128MB and 266MHz-192.
They aren't as fast as my dual P3 units (600 & 3.06) but
they are stable and satisfactory for me

One of my systems running XP here is a 400MHZ PII with 256MB.
It's no speed demon, but it's acceptable. How much RAM do you
have? If it's at least 256MB, it should be OK.

Yes, but it might not be worth the effort or price to upgrade software and
hardware to XP compatibility. XP will also run slower, but if the hardware
has XP drivers it would be more stable. The cost of upgrading the system
could be comparable to purchasing a system with XP already installed.

grief.
