Upgrade to XP Home and no sound

I recently to XP Home:

My Santa Cruz sound board and Altec Lansing THX speakers
do not work. I tried downloading a new driver but it
still does not work. Where do O go for help. Right now I
am caught in middle of Microsoft, Dell and Santa Cruz.
Frankly no one really is too excited about helping me
unless I sign up for a some sort of tech support.

I also have problem with modem, HP scanner and Palm
syncing with my desktop. Anyone been through this before
and where is it best to go for help? Thanks.

Windows version of Windows did you upgrade from? Did you
run the Windows XP Upgrade Adviser be for you upgraded?

I would really suggest wiping your hard drive and doing a
clean install of Windows XP Home.
