After upgrading a working PC from Millienium to XP
professional using a upgrade purchased. The microsoft
office packages are not installed system says. Word,
excel, powerpoint were all working before the upgrade.
Why would they get disabled during the upgrade. there
was nothing in the upgrade report stating that office
products would not work after upgrade.

There are some files used by office that are different based on the version
of Windows installed. Additionally there may be some files required for
your profile now that you are using XP. When prompted simply insert your
Office 2000 CD and let the install finish. It will be fairly fast and once
completed your Office programs should run fine.

When I ran the Upg4rade Advissor prior to installing XP. It told me
that Office would need to be re-installed after an Upgrade.
